Quantum Leap

In partnership with Aggregate Industries, Arrow Engineering and Alun Griffiths Contractors, LFS have played a key role as part of the design team for the Quantum Leap Project which is a commemorative statue celebrating the 200^th Anniversary of Charles Darwin’s birth. The project, designed by Pearce and Lal Associates, is a 140 tonne civil engineering masterpiece consisting of thirty-one concrete ‘ribs’ in the shape of propellers which rotate around a central spine. LFS and Arrow Engineering provided the structural steel work, specified and supplied lifting systems and considerable advice and experience which proved instrumental in the success of this project.
